For me it is definitely different getting requests for me to get paid for my work. I'm not saying I've never been asked but there was a time that I wouldn't have even considered myself good enough to get paid for my artwork. I'm still a bit scared and I'm not sure exactly what I'm supposed to charge... or what I feel my work is worth. I suppose as time goes on that'll get easier.

I'm working on two requested pieces and I have other people who have requested me to do work for them. This one lady overheard me talking to another lady about my artwork and asked if I could draw haystacks and I've personally never tried but said I would try. She said she has a friend that likes haystacks and she'd pay me for my work. So I started this piece last night and while I'm not a big landscape artist this isn't too bad (so far). I'll scan the work in progress soon so you can see how it's coming along.

The other work is something I've already done before, twice. One of my old friends from high school seen the penguin drawing (Penguin love) I did and asked if that was for sale. That particular piece isn't but I redid the same piece for my Dad and step Mom but changed it up a bit. So I decided I'll do it again because I do love penguins.

How do you handle requests and trying to figure out what to charge for your pieces. I know some charge by the hour or how much time and etc that was put into the piece. Some charge by size... this is something new to me.
